Heaven is in my heart today
My Lord has risen from the grave
He conquered death with a cross
Bought the gift of salvation for me.

Heaven is on my lips today
As I proclaim the joyful resurrection
I sing in glorious acclaim
“Alleluia, alleluia.”

Heaven is in my mind today
As I recall the first Easter
Celebrated by the Lord himself
On the very ground of this earth.

Heaven is in my hands today
As I lift my palms to worship Him
The One who took my place
Bore the thorns instead of me.

Heaven is in my soul today
As I await my own resurrection
To behold His majestic presence
Live in paradise with Him forever.
