Keep awake with me
If only for an hour.
The night is long
The night is dark.

Keep awake with me
Pray with me for an hour.
My soul is overcome with sadness
As I await to drink from the cup of my fate.

Keep awake with me
Stay with me for an hour.
My heart is lonely and grieved
The world has forsaken me.

Keep awake with me
Watch with me for an hour.
The hour of agony has come
The cup of passion cannot be passed by.

Keep awake with me
Be alert for just an hour.
The time to sleep has since long elapsed
The moment of my trial has already begun.

Keep awake with me
Call on the Father along with me.
This is the night of the passing over
The stillness in the air says it all.

Keep awake with me
If only for this night.
My heart will be warmed by your presence
I will have no fear in facing what lies ahead of me.

Keep awake with me
Tonight is the night
The hour is upon me
The moment has finally arrived.
