The Greater The Dirt

Many times we see people that have excelled in their Christian walk and then something happens that throws them off track. The thing is this; the Devil means to take us out to keep us distracted and distract the minds of the very people that has been led to Christ through the teaching and preaching of the Gospel that God has blessed us to bring forth. Our enemy comes with dirt in our lives but never edifies what God has done. We are confronted with dirt for dirt we are; what can we expect from the enemy that has been cast down to the earth? We therefore have to be watchful.

Luke 21:34-36 and take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of man.

Satan, the obstructer wants to demolish the work that God has established in the earth with us, in us, and through us. We are the work of God’s hand. We are the work that works with the Master to bring forth glory to His Name. Any way this Demon can try to block, interfere, bar, hinder or prevent us from bringing glory to God he does and we allow him the entrance to do it. When will we realize just who we are and whose we are? We allow Satan to get too noisy and unruly in and around our lives. We let him get too close where he will obtain, get, take, acquire, seize, or procure evidence against us to accuse us to God and man. We allow him access to privileged information good and bad that he can maneuver around even the out of date habits we had once formulated just so bring down God’s Holy Name!

We are the ones that He works through; God don’t overstep anything in the earth realm; He uses what He has created and made with their permission to use them. We are not our own and none of us is exempt from the fury the Devil has with our Creator. It is not about us; but God. God has wrought a good work in us. It is the Devil, the fella in the hole that peeps his head through to hear what he can to bring an accusation against us that the work of the Lord be hindered. When are we going to realize that Jesus complete the work and put Satan under His feet. Romans 16:20 and the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, Amen.

We need the new wine of the Spirit. Matthew 9:14-17 Christ defended His Disciples to the disciples of John the Baptist. How can we put new wine in old bottles? Surely the bottles will break and the wine be wasted out leaving the bottles to perish but with Christ and the newness of life for the believer they both will be preserved.

If we put Word in, Word will come out of us. Whatever we feed ourselves come out of the drought daily, but if we put nothing in nothing shall be there to come out. Wine is intoxicating; inebriating, muddling, and befuddling. It confuses the drinker, disarranging their life where it mixes with the blood and sends wrong signals to the brain and jumbles the speech and entangles the believer’s thinking. On the spiritual side of life the wine of the Spirit does the opposite of what the natural side produces in the life of man. We can be tipsy in the Spirit or in the flesh. We can be tight in the Spirit and in the flesh or so man think anyway. However the flesh and Spirit cannot be stewed together, one or the other has to go. When man becomes stewed they are all mixed with the right ingredients of the flesh or Spirit. We however choose rather we will be tipsy, tight, stewed, or intoxicated for God or the Devil.

Satan knows his mission and works his plans. God knows the plans He has for us also; even our thoughts are fixed after the Word of God. Satan’s preoccupied compulsion to destroy God through His very own Creation still remains true today just as it did with the first man and woman. God created man just like Himself; a spirit being. Man was pure and obviously a threat to Satan’s plan to rule over God. Satan took a third of the heavenly angels with him in his tail when he was kicked out. Satan wandered around the garden until God took His Created beings and made a body of the earth and breathed the Spirit He had created into man and man became a living soul. God made man unique; he was the first. Satan wants to absorb God’s fascination over mankind. This means God boasts of us just as He did Job. Satan hurt God but God got over the hurt and created him a new creature.

Now we, the called, the elect, the sure Creation of the Word are challenged to occupy until Jesus comes back for us. We must conquer our fears and invade the earth that our neighbors, friends, and loved ones too will meet Jesus in the air when He returns to rapture us up. We must seize back from the Devil all that he has stolen from us in our time of failure to obey and follow God. The call is an awesome one and the battle for the souls of men is more real today than yesterday. Satan will not win but wants us to think that he will. He is a deceiver of the brethren and a liar too. It’s time we the people of God get back to doing what it took us to get to where we are that others may be saved. We cannot mope around and sour up like a prune because we dropped a notch on the totem pole and picked up a cockroach. Just as life goes on, God never quits or give up on us. Pick up our noses, refocus our eyes, attend our ears to the Word again and speak of the goodness of God. We must forget about ourselves and concentrate our attentions to the mission for which we have been called to. Really think about the occasion to come. The time is come and the hour is now that the Son of Man is lifted up that He would draw all men to Himself. We are not the one to be glorified; God is.

This is no omen, warning, portent, augury, indication or sign; it is the Word of God and it’s time for some obedience. It’s not strange, for it has been here since the beginning. Obedience has been mandated, required and decreed since the first man. Do we today remember what it means to obey? It means to yield (surrender, abdicate, cede, concede, resign, grant, acquiesce, give) all to God in complete loyalty, devotion and faithfulness. It means to conform (adapt, accommodate, reconcile, agree) having the same likeness or similarity to Christ and mimic His life in submission and compliance to the Father. Obey also mean we submit (it is without stipulation, all of the prerequisites has been given, the qualifications, conditions, and terms has been met) to God’s Word in our servitude and in full compliance to His Commandments to keep them. We want to please God in every area of our lives. In our satisfying Him we will delight ourselves in His Word to live out His grace, mercy, and truth. We will go through but God will bring us through. Never give up hope but come in agreement once again with the Word. The greater the work; the greater the dirt Satan digs up on us. God don’t worry if we spit on the ground or not; just when we learn better; we will do better.
