Have you ever wanted to really get God’s attention? There is a clue given to us in Daniel 10:12. “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come because of your words.” Would you like God to visit you because of your words? These words spoken by Daniel are powerfully anointed to get God’s attention. But don’t think it’s as easy as it sounds. Getting these words out can be difficult because pride wells up inside you trying to prevent a Holy Spirit encounter that will change your life forever.

Once you’ve sensed the presence of God in this mighty way, your heart will forever understand that with God there’s always more. The Devil leaves you wanting, having not, but God leaves you filled, yet desiring more of His glory. Your flesh will try to choke you as you speak the same words Daniel spoke. These very words brought God to Him. In order to come into the same place as Daniel, you must first fear God according to scripture, believing that God is all powerful and knowing.

Second, you must open your heart to understand God, saying I want to know you better Lord. Third, you must humble yourself before God. It helps if you kneel and bow down before Him. Yes, your flesh will resist putting yourself in such a place of reverencing God, but if you ask God to help you overcome what the enemy tries to tell you not to do, you’ll be poised for His presence, primed for His power, ripe for His righteousness, and ready for His revelation.
