The Holocaust



One man's attempt at playing God,

With devil's tactics at hand;

Trying to create a perfect race,

with those at his command.



A severed conscience and no guilt,

quest for power led the way;

His war camps were a living hell,

for those who were his prey.



The Jewish people were a target,

Living experiments they became ;

Separated from their loved ones,

numbers replaced their name.



We must not forget the price paid,

for all of those who were slain;

Tears echo from hearts and souls,

pictures reflect their pain.



Atrocities which they were subjected,

are not in our worst nightmares;

Being led into a furnace of fear

Imagine their empty stares...
