POWERFUL PEACE

There is a peace that wins the victory even over the fiercest warfare. And how priceless it is! So deep and sure, so independent of outward circumstances, and so graciously offered.

“In nothing be anxious, but in everything by prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Phil. 4:6

Looking at our own world, peace of any kind seems to be in critical short supply. This kind of soul peace, however, rests on foundations the world at large chooses not to see and cannot understand. Sounds too good to be true. It defies circumstances and dares to believe that there is a peace to be had which wins every battle, no matter how vicious. Ironic, isn’t it, that there is a calmness of soul that can conquer the worst the world can toss our way? But there is, and we don’t have to understand it to enjoy it. Its Source is impeccable, and it takes only prayer and humility to access it.
