“God’s direction”

A man was walking with his toddler son. This little boy was pushing the small stroller and the father was walking beside him. The little boy began pushing the stroller to the side, into the parking lot, rather than straight ahead. The father gently guided the boy and the stroller back to the correct path. This incident reminds me of Proverbs 16:9, which states, “a man deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps” KJV. What a great verse to remind us, that we as believers make all kinds of plans daily, but the LORD is actually directing the way we should go. He helps us back to the straight path when we push the stroller to the side, so to speak. Isn’t it great to know that God cares enough for us to direct our steps? Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, lean not unto thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths KJV. Our part: trust him with all your heart, and don’t rely on just what you can understand with your own insight, [after all, we don’t have all the facts or see the big picture as God does], acknowledge him in what we do in our daily lives, and his promise after we do that, is that he will direct our paths. What comfort it brings to know he is directing our paths when we walk with him.
Prayer: LORD thank you for directing my path, thank you for your reminder you are directing my paths, In Jesus name amen.
