THE 2012 AGENDA

Hello, it is some months into the New Year long waited for with great optimism. However, how many boxes have been ticked on your 2012 wish-list? How far have you gone in executing all your smartly crafted plans? Or perhaps everything has not gone the way you would have wanted. Or are you scared of what the future holds? Remember, “You can trust an unknown future to a known God”. But before the year flies out of sight, why can’t you assess the way you spent your past years and stand for a change so that you can have a different story to tell in the remaining months. Here are 12 guides which are “pre-requisites for greatness” that you need to include and adhere to in your 2012 plans.

Tell others about Christ- Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20

Walk in the light of God’s word- Psalm 119:105

Emulate good acts/ideas from others- I Thessalonians 5:19-22, Philippians 3:17

Never quit thinking to carry on trusting God- Proverb 3:5-6

Thank God in every situation- I Thessalonians 5:18

Yearn to study the word of God- Joshua 1:8, Ps 119:105, Eph 5:10

Testify to God’s love- I John 4:11-21

Withstand the devil through prayers- James 4:7

Eat from the right fruit in the garden of God (church) - there are fruits/seeds of factions/unity, love/discrimination, discord/peace, discouragement/support etc. Make sure you uproot the bad seeds to stop them growing while you allow the good seeds to thrive.

Love your neighbours truly- Galatians 5:14

Vamoose from those that will lead you astray and vaccinate your self with prayer, fasting and studying the word of God- Psalm 1, Ephesians 6:11-20

Encourage the broken-hearted- I Thessalonians 5:11, Hebrews 3:13-

However, if you can faithfully do these, there is 1 fact that you should be aware of; the devil will get furious and he will try to frustrate you. So once you begin to notice his attacks, and it seems like God is distant, do not worry. Then you should pray to get more serious so that you can be become more dangerous to the satanic kingdom. Even if the trial lingers, keep relying on these 2 promises of God;
• He will never leave you-Matthew 28:20. So He watches over you
• He will not allow you to be tempted beyond your power to stand firm- I Corinthians 10:13. So don’t give up, just keep praying and God wouldn’t put more on you.
In the end, you will have total victory.
