At The End of the Line

At the end of the line what are we going to do? What will we be remembered for? Once God deliver us out of sin we can never go back. We should never look back. A famous singer once lived a life of lesbianism and got herself delivered and married. After four years of marriage she once again began to dip and dab in lesbianism again. On a road trip to produce a CD she took the woman with her and her husband found out. When they returned home together the husband was waiting on them with a gun and shot them both. The wife died and the other girl lived. How do we find ourselves in these kinds of predicaments? What will be said about us at the end of the line? The end of the line is where God pronounce judgment on us and we find out where we will spend eternity. Yes there is a chance of repentance; who can say where she is spending eternity. But then again at the end of the day we had a choice to make, to follow God or Satan!

The three things to look at in this predicament are:

1. She looked back to sin; Lot’s wife turned into a pillar of salt because she looked back to Sodom in Genesis 19:25.

2. She loved her life and desires more than she loved God; Jezebel was reared and educated as a Baal worshiper, and when she became Ahab’s queen she not only claimed the right of continuing in her ancestral religion, but also tried to impose it upon the people of Israel

3. She did damage to a covenant relationship; a league, compact, or agreement; and expression of God’s gracious promises to his people and their consequent relation to Him. Marriage is a legal union between a man and woman for life. Marriage cannot be dissolved by any legitimate act of man. It is dissolved by death. It may be dissolved on account of adultery. The Israelites were God’s chosen people, He was in covenant with them and they constantly broke the covenant through disobedience. They compromised the harmony, peace, and unity they had together. The pact was broken, the went back on their agreement to live the Commandments of God.

Once we have been delivered we can never go back to what we were delivered out of. When we are born we can’t go back into our mother’s womb. We come into the world alone male or female; but then we marry and become one again as God first created man. Marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman. When God created them a spirit being He created them one, male and female. After making provision of a place to live, a job, food, and clothing He made man from the dust of the earth and put the spirit he had created for them and then He breathe His Spirit in Adam and he became a living soul. So now man was spirit, flesh, live body, and a living soul; (Mind, Body, Soul, and Spirit). There is so much to man that we don’t understand. We can only understand if God breathes on us and give us revelation. One thing for sure is this; God did not make a mistake in calling man; man and woman; woman. The woman no longer dwelt in the bosom of Adam; God removed her from his insides and placed her at his side to be a helpmeet.

Many have gone against the natural order of God and have actually gone as far as to say it’s not my fault I am the way I am. You may have been abused, sexually exploited, raped, or molested but God still gives us a way out of that perversion. It is unnatural for a man to say he is a woman and just as unnatural for a woman. Woman you are no longer in the man and man you are no longer walking around with the woman in your loins. Out of all the good we can do, we will be remembered at the end of the line all the bad we have done because it is what God will judge in the end. God gave Adam; Eve to be his wife, to reproduce in the earth and bring forth life. Eve was Adam’s good thing. According as Solomon teaches us in Proverbs 18:22 he that finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtain favor of the Lord. Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out. Most men will proclaim everyone his own goodness but a faithful man who can find? Man will say that I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin but every man is known by his doings whether it be pure and whether it be right. We know when we do wrong especially if we are born again believers. The Spirit will convict us at the time. At this time is when a decision must be made. We cannot cross the line and expect to automatically make it into heaven.

Hebrews 13:4 marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled; but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Even our conversation about one another has to be contended with; all actions are to be thought out when it comes to our husband or wife. We must leave no room for Satan to put a foot in the door of our marriages. This woman looked back and picked up her old ways and thought she could just repent. She boasted about what she was going to do out of town away from her husband. But someone being jealous and envious of her relationship of having a trusting husband told him what she was going to do. You don’t let the right hand know what the left hand is doing or going to do. She gave the Devil the ammunition needed to snatch her life away. Now two people are left to live with the guilt of her being dead; the husband and the other woman.

Obedience is the best sacrifice anyone can give to God. Some things God don’t desire of us, nor require of us; but obedience is and it is better to obey than sacrifice. This woman sacrificed her life to live a life of sin and pleasure for a moment. What else it cost her we don’t know but one thing we do know, as well as she was known in the world the good things she had done would not be remembered over the way she died. She loved life more than she loved God. She chose her girlfriend lover over not only her husband but God also. She broke the sacred covenant she stood before God and man made. We aren’t to judge rather she would have lived longer or not but she didn’t expect that she would die that day either. Fame made her game more effective, she had time to rendezvous away from her husband and children but she forgot about God; the one that is all knowing. all seeing Creator.

If we wait on God patiently he will incline to us and hear our cry. At the end of the line He is there to greet us and welcome us home if indeed we go to heaven. God has brought many of us up out of a horrible pit. He place our feet on the rock of His Salvation. He established our goings and put a new song in our mouths and he purged our hearts. As we learn of Him our praise changes, we began to hear and see Him in a more significant way. We begin to fear God and trust Him like never before. The more we get to know Him the more we trust and respect Him. We put away our arrogant ways, pride, and lies. We realize how wonderful God is and all His Creation comes more alive to us. We concern ourselves with God’s Order. God wants complete obedience. He is right there in the volume of the book if we want to get to know more of Him so that means we sacrifice the time needed to be with Him. We delight to do his Will and to keep his Law. We preach righteousness and hide it in our hearts. Faithfulness to God’s Covenants isn’t hard to do; so what’s the problem? The problem is we don’t want to do what it takes to come to know our heavenly Father as we should.

Why would a saved Christian want to hide that they are saved? Why would we conceal God’s loving kindness? If the Truth helped us why wouldn’t we want someone else to know the truth? We don’t want God to withhold his tender mercies from us; his mercy is for all of mankind. God will preserve us with his loving kindness and truth. We can’t get away from God! Why hide and sin when God knows it anyway? He is the one we need to be concerned about; for it is He that will be waiting at the end of the line for us. What’s keeping us from looking up into the heavens to see God? Is the reason evil? Jealousy? Pride? Malice? Lusting power? Whatever it is that keeps us away from God today, it’s time we re-evaluate our relationship with that entity.

We want to please God that He may deliver us in our time of need. God is all we have; when all else fails He is still right there! We must flee to the Lord for help as David did. He said be merciful unto me, and raise me up that I may requite them. By this I know that thou favor me and when we have the favor of God we automatically have favor with God.

As we transition in this world to go to eternity we have to come to the end of the line. What are we going to do? Stay delivered and don’t ever look back! That line is like a tight rope, we have to be careful. If we lean to the left we could fall. If we lean to the right to far we can fall. On this rope that is fine as twine we have to keep our focus on God. We look straight ahead and not at what’s behind. Cry out to God, leave our problems, situation, and predicaments in his hands and we are of a sure promise of life eternal. Looking back brings forth death but we don’t have to die, stay the course of righteousness. This walk with Christ is as fine twine and we can make it if our hearts is in our salvation. She came from under the covenant. The covenant God made with Abraham covered all of his family. She gave up her blessing because she started loving where she was more than God.
