Inward Affections
Christ Ambassadors

II Corinthians 7:15 and his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembered the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.

II Corinthians 5:14-17 for the love of Christ constrains us, because we thus judge, that if one died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we; him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The Ambassadors of Christ is not second to none. If the worldly Ambassadors are subject to strict discipline what about those that are called of Christ? We are of a higher standard and are subject to an even harsher punishment. We must all appear before the judgment seat of God that we may receive the things done in our body according to that which we have done whether it was good or bad. All of our actions are accountable to God at the Gate of His Kingdom and it’s determined whether we will enter in our not. Christ Ambassadors are of a higher standard. An Ambassador is a diplomat, emissary, envoy, or minister. We are agents, representatives, and statesmen for Christ. We have been called to be Christ intermediaries; His mediators in the world to finish the work He began here in the flesh. That work was that of a mediator between God and man. We are to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit and perfect holiness in the fear of God. Saints begat Saints. It’s like a man that likes a woman to act ladylike,

God expects us all to behave ourselves according to His Word. As a Minister we are to attend to God’s business in an effective way, following the lead of Christ. We are to tend to the business of Christ in a more efficient way than we do our own. We are to put God first before our own wants. We are to help our fellowman in the Gospel providing assistance, comfort and relief to them. When we follow Christ lead there is hardly any time that we can find to misbehave, do wrong or be found in mischief. If we find ourselves miserable in this way, it means we have not really accepted Christ Spiritually. We cannot serve God righteously in Spirit without the Holy Ghost, sacrifice or in flesh. We cannot combine God’s Work with a combination of flesh and spirit. We know we are wrong to mingle, stir, or unite God’s Word with worldly evangelism. If we draw people to Christ with a mismatched misrepresentation they will soon depart the Ministry.

What happens is when we misrepresent Christ we give the enemy of our souls an opportunity to come in and wreak havoc in the Church; we have distorted, falsified, deceived, lied, and mislead the people and they find themselves duped, deluded, tricked, and beguiled by the people they found trust in. We have the souls of men in our hands, how can we mislead and deceive them where they are left confused about Christ? We not only cause them pain and misery but God also. We can hurt the heart of God when our hearts are not filled with inward affection. We are to be so filled of the Word that Christ through His Spirit will not leave us alone. Without the Holy Ghost and having it right like God says where He grows in us we cause much distress, suffering and agony to others. We birth forth trouble, grief, and anxiety in the lives of our followers. It’s more despair, depression and sadness in their hearts than we know. They soon began to mistrust, have doubt and uncertainty about our calling; whether it be of God or not.

We question the inward affection; who are we really devoted too, is our fondness of Christ real or not, are we really a friend of God and is it really Him we love, regard and respect? Is our hearts on the inside really showing forth the tenderness and warmth that someone would be attentive to that love and desire to have that same love? That inward affection of Christ Ambassadors come front and center sometime or another and we have to affect it where God’s influence will prevail. It’s hard to affect change when that Godly influence is not there. Christ came and died for sin that he didn’t commit that we would have that same love one to another. We have to alter, change, and modify the world of sin. We are responsible to sway, stir, and transform the world with the Love of God, His Word and our lives. In everything we are to give God the glory. Out of the heart proceeds evil; but if we turn evil around we have live and to live the Gospel is to live a life of Christ and rid the world of evil.

The love of Christ constrains us to enforce the Word, coerce holy living, have a compulsion to speak up against sin, and to put pressure on the sinner to make a confession and repent. We must compel man to come to Christ. How do we do this? We do it with love; with love sin is squeezed out of the heart and it arrests the sinner and causes them to shy away from sin. Now this is the work of an Ambassador of Christ; that the Will of God is done; that each one reaches one with the love of God. Having that inward affection is more abundant toward us while God remember our obedience to Him; how with fear and trembling we received Him. After we have been cleansed and washed in the blood and filled with the Holy Ghost; the inward man is renewed daily after Christ with the hearing and reading of the Word. We should not mind dying for Christ sake! He died for all of us that we can live again not to ourselves but to Him that died and rose again. We owe God! We owe Christ! We owe the Holy Ghost! We owe them thanks for the love they shared that we don’t have to go to hell but be the creatures we were created to be from the beginning.

As an Ambassador of Christ we can know no man after the flesh but after the Spirit. If we see man in the flesh we will always see wrong but when we see men as God sees them; we see the soul that needs salvation. We have thrown away or given up on people that God called clean because we did not see right past the flesh. When a man or woman becomes a new creature they are babes that need to grow into Christ and that process continues throughout their lives. There are no grown folks in Christ; we are all children that are to follow God as such. We are to walk in love as Christ have loved us and given himself an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savior. It is Christ that sustains us and gives us the reason to come to God one way. For three years Jesus taught Paul and he fell in love with Jesus. Paul was once one that persecuted the Christian but after falling in love with Christ he became one that gave life to the Christian. What are we then if we say we love Christ? The days are evil and it’s we the Ambassadors of Christ redeem the times. We are not unwise and we know what the Will of God is for man. It’s time to come out of the drunken stupor we are in where we boast of ourselves and lift others up rather than God. We are drunk off of our own wine, but is it the wine of the Holy Ghost? We are to be filled with the Spirit of God. We are grieving the Holy Spirit of God because we have allowed our inward affection to be affected or influenced by the things of the world. The Word must be engraved in our hearts so that it is written as on stones and not easily removed.

The Word of God written in the heart of men causes them to have a glorious countenance. We have a Ministry and we will not faint if we renounce the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the Word of God deceitfully but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. We cannot be one that the god of this world has blinded; but one that walks in the light and the light shine so that others may see God in us. God commands the light to shine out of darkness and He has shined in our hearts to the light of the knowledge of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ. We must see the souls of men the same way Jesus did that we may carry on the work without partiality. Jesus died for all men. He didn’t throw any away but called men to repentance. We cannot have a heart of God and our own emotions take front and center. Within the inward affection of the earthen heart lies a treasure, that the excellence of the power of God may shine and not ourselves.

It’s not about us; we are not our own. Now thanks be to God, which always cause us to triumph in Christ, and make manifest the savior of his knowledge by us in every place, Amen. We are to God a sweet savor of Christ to the saved and unsaved. We don’t corrupt the Word of God as many do but we are sincere and speak up for God as Christ did and still do through us. Now we as Ambassadors for Christ beseech every soul, all men to be reconciled to God. God has made Christ sin for us, who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
