My heart,
refined by fire,
it was broken and apart,
my heart is changed,
it is God’s workmanship,
to finish what He did start.

My heart,
refined by fire,
to remove all dross,
my heart is altered,
for God to possess,
He has paid the cost.

My heart,
refined by fire,
God shapes and moulds,
my heart is transformed,
to God it belongs,
in His hands He holds.

My heart,
refined by fire,
to give lustre and shine,
my heart is renewed,
to God freely given,
His work takes time.

My heart,
refined by fire,
pure and new to make,
my heart is enhanced,
to God devoted,
my soul is now awake.

My heart,
refined by fire,
fortified and strong,
my heart is converted,
for God to abide,
my heart resists the wrong.

My heart,
refined by fire,
whole and complete,
my heart is reformed,
for God is faithful,
His throne, my heart, His seat.
