Are We Walking With God

Colossians 1:10 that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.

How can we walk with God and not study the Word, the roadmap to Heaven? We have to be very careful in our walk with God that we be not pulled off the beacon path of righteousness.

Colossians 3:16 let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Hebrews 11:1-6
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, for by it the elders obtained a good report.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and by it he being dead yet speaks.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he thatcome to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Are we really walking with God or do we even know? God is a God that requires us to give Him something to work with and that is our faith to believe Him at His Word, accept Him as God, and reverence Him as God. Many there be that walk is not walking in God but of their own abilities. They say that they are relying on God but they aren’t. When we find faith we find works and when we find works we find sacrifice and obedience. Faith has fruits, and it reproduces in our lives. Faith incorporates or embodies a belief and trust in God. It gives us confidence, credence, assurance, acceptance, conviction, sureness and reliance in God. Faith contains substance, a belief, creed, doctrine, dogma, tenet, revelation, credo, gospel, canon, and theology.

Because of faith we can be assured in our walk with God, we can walk fearless and boldly to the throne of grace. Credence means we have credibility that makes God believable, plausible, and reliable in our belief of Him and His doctrine (Communion, Baptism, and Feet Washing). God has never been proved to be a liar or unreal. He has never committed a crime, transgression or wrongdoing. There are no offenses or violations charged to His Holy Name. We have an active lively, living moving, operative, spirited, tireless, working assurance or guarantee that God is Lord and He loves us. It is in Him we live, move, and have our being. As our Father He supports us in righteousness. He gives us His pledge and His promise that He will take care of us. If we trust Him for our all and all and step back out of His way we can fair better in certainty. Our faith level will rise and we will trust God more and more each day during good times and bad times.

This assurance I speak of is produced by faith, made full by hope, confirmed by love, is the effect of righteousness, and is abundant in the understanding of the gospel. Faith has been proven through redemption, Jesus coming in the flesh and dying for our sins that we have a right to the tree of life. We have been adopted in the Kingdom and have salvation because of Christ sacrifice. By faith we believe God and have the unalienable love of God. His love is not foreign, strange or unfamiliar. Even when we do things to displease Him, He yet loves us. We have union with God and Christ. We must examine ourselves whether we be in the faith, proving ourselves and knowing that Jesus Christ is in us, except we be reprobate. We come to God through Jesus Christ. We have peace with God by Christ. Faith in God brings about trust as we persevere. He answers our prayers, comfort us in or afflictions, continually fulfill his grace in us; for which we give diligence to attain and strive to maintain. That confident hope in God restores us daily.

We must realize we can trust God to do what He have said in His Word. He is reliable like no one on the earth. God is reputable, irrefutable, incontestable, dependable, trustworthy, and unimpeachable. Who else can we put our whole confidence, hope, faith, trust, and dependency in? There is no one in the earth that will do the things God will when we please Him in our walk. At the first sign of trouble we run. When we sin and fall short we run. We become distant, removed from the Church and other believers. We are supposed to lift our brother or sister that has fallen short along the way with restoration. We cause many to fall from grace by alienating them causing them to become remote, distant, removed from God, secluded to deal with the demon that has taken over their mind and going into isolation.

Many leaders lack understanding of God from a spiritual viewpoint. They are looking at the flesh but never see God and what God wants to do in the sheep that follow them. They are lost and the sheep in pursuit is lost also. Faith and trust in God make us know wisdom and instruction where we perceive the words of understanding. A wise man will hear and increase in learning and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsel. We cannot give wise counsel in the flesh. They that worship God must do it in Spirit and Truth. I Corinthians 14:20 brethren, be not children in understanding; howbeit in malice be ye children but in understanding be men. It’s time we begin to trust God again. Too many Christians have lean to their own understanding and caused shipwrecks in people’s lives. Then we have too many babies that never grew in Christ because they failed to assert themselves in His Word. They have no Word going in so no Word comes out. Every conversation is carnal. In the body of Christ there is too much unfruitfulness. We have managed to build churches on every corner but right at the corner where we build sinners parade by and most times even sat on the steps of the church and sell drugs. Where is the soul winning efforts? He that wins souls is wise. Even on the inside many are there because they want to associate to others that they belong to a big church. It’s really a sad thing but no one wants to work anymore where souls are concerned. This is the most important part of knowing God.

Jesus brought us together for a reason. He said to believe on me for a reason. That reason is this; that we would once again be united with God as one. We need to believe of one heart and of one soul. We need to be of one mind towards another. They that can only see the bad in another have a problem with themselves. We are to glorify God with one mind and all speak the same things. Are we re ally perfectly joined together as one body in Christ? Do we have the faith we claim to have? Do we really trust God? II Corinthians 13:11 be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace. We must endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace and fulfill God’s joy that we be likeminded having the same love like Christ. We are to be in one accord and of one mind as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost had in the working of the Creation.

If we want to build our faith and trust in God we need to think like God. Let us walk by the same rule and let us mind the same thing as Jesus did in pleasing His Father. If we follow on to know Christ we will come to know God in a more significant way. We too will have the same compassion that Jesus had for God’s people. As we walk with God during this transition period on earth we cannot be selfish. We walk in faith and complete trust in God that we look not on every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. We cannot be selfish and walk with God. We have to be as Jesus was to walk as He did. He was a burning and shining light, the light of the world. We must walk honestly so that while we are walking in the light as Jesus is in the light we have fellowship on with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanses us from all sin
