Lightning flashes, the thunder sounds.
Shivers trickle down the spine
One sees stars during the day.

When cupid strikes
The day takes on a pleasant dimension.
There is a sweet scent in the air
Every song becomes your own life song.

When cupid strikes
In an instance the clock turns haywire.
One moment you are the person you always were
The next moment you are a complete stranger to your own self.

When cupid strikes
Shy glances are the in thing.
A blush and smile color the eyes
The feet are far above the ground.

When cupid strikes
The voice takes on a sweeter note.
Fingers tremble with the sheer force of the moment
Time comes to a complete halt.

When cupid strikes
The heart beats faster
The fire burns brighter.
The mind is on cloud nine
Imagination runs riot.

When cupid strikes
Thoughts soon turn into feelings.
Feelings mature into love
This is now seventh heaven at last.
