What If God?
What if God were dishonest?
You’d never know what to believe.
No, Not God, He is not like man
His way is not to deceive.
What if God were lazy?
Didn’t feel like blessing today
No, not God, each day we live
His blessings come our way
What if God were selfish?
All that is His He’d hold
No, not God, He gives and gives
Of his wealth and riches untold
What if God was bitter?
Because His commands we did not obey
No, not God, He forgives our sins
And loves us anyway.
What if God were too busy,
To hear us when we pray?
No, not God, He’s always there
To hear what we have to say.
What if God were all these things
Whatever would we do
What kind of life would we have
If God were like me and you?
