Fighting for a soul

How many of us have lost loved ones that we would like to see brought in and saved before its to late? How many prayers have we prayed? Meals fasted? Tears cried because of them living the life of sin in fear that they may never make it right to make Heaven their home? I have lived this situation way to many times, and still go through them today. As a Christian we never really get to have everyone we know and love saved and ready to meet Jesus should he decide their time has come. For myself I have a close friend who is also my Mother-In-Law. While she has never been one to even believe in the Lord she has had to admit that she does get curious of the things she cant help but give God the credit for. During my relationship with her my husband and I have tried to witness to her. So she can make Heaven her home, live her remaining days out right knowing there is a God and he loves her. We were making so great progress but anyone who knows how the Devil tries to mess things up when they seem to be making a difference in someone’s soul. Well not long after feeling good about the situation was it that sure enough that sly devil started making things hard for us. She went from being curious and asking questions about Jesus to saying that she would never believe the way we do. She will never go to church. Obviously this was both a shock and kind of a kick in the face after all my husband and I thought we had gotten her through. But you have to stay strong and be patient, so through it we kept on pressing. I would love to be able to tell you that My mother -in -law is in church today, saved and ready to make heaven her home at anytime. But sadly this is still a soul my family is praying for. All we can do is hold in to faith and pray that God will bring her in. There was a women when I was younger and every Sunday she would stand up and give a testimony of her life. She would stand up in front of everyone and tell them and God she was thankful that he husband was saved and ready to make heaven his home. The thing was her husband was not saved or ready to meet Jesus yet. I wondered why it was that every Sunday she still thanked God for something she didn’t have. Now that I am older I realize why. She was acting by faith and believing that what she was saying would come to pass. Much like the scripture of “let the poor say I am rich and the weak say I am strong.” In this case also she was living what was told to her in Matthew 21:22 in “ All things, Whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” She was claiming this individuals soul in Jesus Name that he would be saved. The greatest part of this was that it worked. Her husband did come in and give his life to the Lord before his time came. She claimed and prayed, asked and believed and it was given to her. I might not have had one my Mother-In-law yet, but I claim her soul in Jesus Name. Before its to late I believe that she will make her life right with the Lord. I claim my Dads soul that he too will get saved before God calls him home. If we give up on our loved ones, than who’s fault is it? If we don’t pray for them, fast for them, claim them in Jesus name, did we really try all that we could? Did we give our all? My aunt went through a situation when praying for her son. She had raised him in church but as he grew up he got curious of the things this world offers. He backslid and even got to the point that he claimed he didn’t believe in God at all anymore. My aunt began non stop praying for him. He still lived with her at this time and she prayed over his clothes, his pillow she prayed and anointed with oil, over his door handle, the food she cooked would go in his stomach and make him want to run to the alter to repent for all his sins. That he would make it right with the Lord and get saved before it was too late. Thankfully it worked. He gave his life back to the Lord and there he has been since. My aunt gave me this advice when trying to win a soul and I will give it to you. Advice: Don’t give up. No matter what. The more you pray and fast for the soul to be saved, the harder it will become. You have to stay prayed up, fasted up, continuously praying for them and asking for strength to continue so you don’t ever feel that the road gets to hard to walk. That even when they seem they will never be saved that you still don’t give up. Pray, Fast, and make sure you try and continue your best with your walk with the Lord also. Some of the things you may encounter through this will even be hard for you to handle, But like the bible says “We can do all things through Christ who strengths us.” Philippians 4:13 So are we gonna press on in our fight for this soul? Are we gonna claim them in Jesus Name? Are we gonna preserver and press on through this trial we are going through fighting the Devil for this soul? What is this soul worth? It has been said that one soul is worth more then its weight in gold. Matthew 16:26 says “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” When we ask we shall receive. This promise is something that us soul winners can use to our advantage. I will claim these souls, I will pray, fast and fight for them until the day I am promised comes to pass and that is the day that they turn their lives over to the Lord. I thank the Lord My dad, my Mother-In-Law, my husbands grandparents, my other family member and friends are saved and KNOW the Lord in the remission of their sins. IN JESUS NAME I PRAY, FAST, BELIEVE AND CLAIM….AMEN.
