Elijah (meaning of Jehovah is God)…...

When the situation that threatens your very existence takes you to a point and the peak of desperation, what do you do? What steps do you take to solve it? Who do you call upon?
Almighty God!

Even for the man who has rejected Him for so long and even the self proclaimed atheist…all instinctively call out the name of GOD ALMIGHTY!


Then when man realizes that there is no other solution but the great and mighty God or even when he simply turns to God as a last resort, he vehemently seeks His face and HELP!

Why do we need to pray? And why pray vehemently and violently?

Why call upon the God of ELIJAH? Why the need for an answer by FIRE?


Because:
When you are DOWN to nothing ... God is UP to something'
And,
'Safety is not the absence of danger, but it is the presence of God'


What is the characteristic of fire that makes it stand so distinctly out?
Fire is described not to belong to any category…Gas, liquids or solids!
It is said that the State of Matter of Fire is a process, not a physical object
Fire is defined to be made up of many different substances, so it is not an element; fire is a mixture of hot gases.
Flames are the result of a chemical reaction, primarily between oxygen in air and a fuel, such as wood or propane.
In addition to other products, this reaction produces carbon dioxide, steam, light, and heat. If the flame is hot enough, the gases are ionized and become yet another state of matter: plasma.


Fire is hot, defies gravitational pull, burns horizontal and consumes vertical, it also mysteriously acts…burns on and in water with the right elements in place and it is no respecter of persons, place or thing.

Elijah knew this fact, his God and the ‘power’ deposited within him and he used it to the fullest when the need arose!
He understood the meaning and the power in a name , especially God’s

The names of God have been proven in the past to bring reactions and solutions aacording to the definition of His name in Bible times and our present day, there have been testimonies to God’s goodness and mercy when we call upon Him in our times of trouble…THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER.

When problems that seem to defy solutions come your way,
Learn to Trust God and live according to His statutes and commands

Patiently trust His timing in answered prayers but be consistent and persistent in asking

Radicalism like John the Baptist, challenge attitude like Jacob, and the persistence of ‘blind’ Bathemeus will go a long way in achieving God’s purpose

Pray like Paul and Silas…pray without ceasing until the answer comes

Trust the God of the impossible who turns around that which men have said can NEVER be done and defies logic any other way

Be a friend of God to be able to call upon Him as the God that answers by fire!
