Comforting Others

When you were down and blue,
God always comforted you.
So when you see a hurting friend
all you need to do is lend
a helping hand out to them ;
to comfort them through their problem.
Remember they are important to God, too,
and He will comfort them through you.
All it takes, on your part, is a little effort,
so that you may be of comfort
to someone in need;
and you will be a friend indeed.

When someone is troubled
their problems seem doubled.
They you reach out
to that someone who is in doubt.
It helps to be there
when all they have are tears.
If you comfort and console
that person will again feel whole.
You'll give them courage
as you continue to encourage.
God will help you comfort others
as you treat them as sisters and brothers.

2Corinthians 1:3,4(NKJV)--Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort which we ourselves are comforted by God.
