It is that time of the year once again

There is celebration in my honour
People shopping for gifts big and small
“For unto us a child is born…….”
but...., there is talk about another flying in on reindeer from the North Pole?!

All over the world everyone’s talking

That day is here the question is ‘Are we ready?’
Ready for what…you ask, remember the ten virgins and their little ‘ole lamps, some were wise, some were not

It is a birthday and we think, cakes, sweets and all that’s nice to eat.

So where is the celebrant in all the joyful cheer, hustle and bustle?
He is forgotten, His due place disregarded nor is He given due recognition
Ho! Ho! Ho!....Santa Clause is coming to town!!!!

Remember the three wise men

They came, they saw and worshiped
They increased in wisdom as they fell not for King Herod’s wiles and cunning to destroy the child-King and derail destiny of the whole of the human race
They went home fulfilled and rejoicing
There is cunning of a king Herod of our time...confusion in whose birthday it is

Are you cutting the cake in His stead?

Are you partying, giving and receiving gifts
The red and white sock on the mantelpiece, the red and white long furry hat, a sign of the season and the time
Do not get carried away in the moment and the activity

Dinner with family: turkey, mixed flavored-jollof rice, baked potatoes….so many things to do, a flurry of activities


You feel a reason to share goodwill during this yuletide season (the only time during the year that you are actually nice, anyway  )

Be active in sharing the true story of the remembrance

That Jesus Christ is born
