GOOD NEWS OF GREAT JOY!!!
Christmas time is the festive season when families across the world gather together and enjoy their day in different styles. As Christmas approaches, people become filled with joy of seeing their long and far away friends and relatives. And this joy spreads as individuals are dinning together, sharing their experiences together. To many people, Christmas is a time of merriment, time of sharing and declaring of one’s love and affection to others. The reason for our celebration is as a result of the birth of the world’s saviour, the one who came to die for our sins. Because He was born, there is hope for us to be saved from the condemnation of sinful nature. The birth of JESUS was a gift to the world because of GOD’s favour to reinstall the long stolen PEACE that the devil had deprived the ancient of.
“Glory to GOD in the highest, and on earth
Peace to man on whom HIS favour rests” Luke 2:14

The reason why JESUS was born was for us to live in peace and that our broken relationship with GOD might be restored thus giving us the privilege of being accepted back in to our rightful GOD’s family when we believe in the saviour, JESUS CHRIST. John 1:12
The most amazing act of the gift of GOD in respect to the birth of JESUS was that it is for every one. The shepherds were told by the angels that;
“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy
That will be for every people” Luke 2:10

This is an extraordinary love that shows no favouritism but inclusion of all people without any educational or family background. Jesus was born so that we might have joy. The most unfortunate situation that the world has found itself is that we are in an era where people are being influenced by all factors such as power and wealth etc and are seeking to build a world of their own where they can be seen as the only leader. There has been continuous outbreak of war from the north to the south and from the east to the west. The peace of many nations has been taken away due to war. Those who are not in war, their peace have been snatched by the devil and are left to wander around the world in darkness; living a melancholy life despite families and friends around them.
All these problems wouldn’t have arisen if not for the love of GOD that many people have lost. If you are in a situation where you know that your life after Christmas might be full of sadness and discomfort, then you should read on and experience how the peace of GOD can make you the most joyful person you would ever imagine. If you think you are happy and peaceful, why don’t you read further and understand the will of GOD for your life. Also, you can have a positive impact on others live in the years to come.
You need to know that the peace of GOD which was brought to us by JESUS is for every one. So you are not excluded!!!
“For GOD so love the world that he gave us HIS only begotten son
So that whosoever that believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16
First of all, you need to believe that JESUS came to this world to die for your sin. You might think that this is not enough to give you the joy you want in such a world where worry about everything has dominated human life. A world where political instability and economic crisis has left thousands exposed and worried about what is to become of them. There is a promise from GOD, which you need to rely on,
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” Matthew 6:25
So come to JESUS, cast all your anxiety upon JESUS and he will help you and wouldn’t watch you to be put to shame. When other people are in sorrow, the peace of GOD will be over you.
That is the reason while Christmas is been celebrated, so you need to know that joy and happiness doesn’t start and end on Christmas day but it is a continuous state that we ought to be experiencing only if we would trust in JESUS.
To those who think Christmas is all about sharing, you need to know now that it is more about giving and changing lives. When JESUS was born, the wise men came to give him presents which were to honour his sovereignty, to praise him and to show the preservation of JESUS body before HIS resurrection on the third day. We need to know that for as much as we are getting, so do we need to give. Don’t buy just for families alone but have an impact on the live of others around the world through your donations to charities that are supporting families across the world. And it is not just the time of Christmas that we need to give to others but also at all times. In this way we can experience the joy of giving;
In the end, do not let these words be in your heart alone, share it with friends, families and your community, let them know how they can experience the peace and joy of GOD throughout their live and not just on the day of Christmas.
