Transparency

I’m not afraid to let you see
the flaws that sadly reside
in me, nor in reverse should
you. But what we do with
what we see reveals the
character of you and me.

Loving rebuke, conversational
advice, a helping hand done
without strife, this is character of
which God approves; and with
prevailing prayer in petitions
bold, we request that God prevails
with each soul.

Flaws, besmirches of various
kinds are part of us as the human
race; but we must extend what we
have received, the loving mercy of
God’s Great Grace.

Therefore, if in me you detect
a flaw that will bring to God
disgrace, do call it to my attention;
and don’t forget to speak with God
and to Him my name mention.

But let us not condemn nor condone
the flaws we each possess;
let us rather speak freely
and to each other our faults
and sins confess, so we may effectively
pray and one the other bless.

James 5:16 “Confess your faults one to the other and pray for one another that you may be healed. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
