Roses are red...
With love she had glowed,
like a red flame of a torch,
inside her, warming her,
a glow in her pale white cheeks.

Violets are blue...
The hurt she felt,
smouldered the flame,
she grew cold and hard,
and slowly died inside.

Sugar is sweet...
He showed her kindness,
love and understanding,
listened, helped and supported,
he rekindled the flame.

And so are you...
They face what life throws at them
for love does conquer,
helping each other daily,
together their life is sweet.
