During this time of year, my prayer is that we all continue to spread the Word of God and live out the example of the true meaning of Christmas. Every year, we are bombarded by the new and latest technological advances and electronic gadgets that society has deemed as the "must haves" to put under our Christmas tree. Don't get me wrong, enjoy living this life and all the things that God has blessed you to have and to share with others but, what better gift would it be this Christmas season is to give someone Jesus! This is the real meaning of this season. What a marvelous gift that we were given - The baby Jesus, wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manager. Who would have known that this baby Jesus would be the Saviour, the Christ, and the chosen one that would save a multitude from their sins. In Isaiah 9:6 (NIV) the scripture reference, "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

So, as we celebrate this season remember that "Jesus is the Real Reason for the Season." In John 3:16 (NIV) it states, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." So, if you don't get that special gift under the Christmas tree realize that you already have a special gift and that is Christ's unconditional love.

As we start to make our Christmas lists, that are filled with the tangible items let's make another list of the intangible items that only the Holy Spirit can give. My prayer for you is that this Christmas season you receive blessings of PEACE,JOY, LOVE, LONGSUFFERING, ENDURANCE, STRENGTH,and HOPE. The blessings of the intangible are just the ingredients that we all need to complete the inner most part of our mind body, and soul.

Be encouraged today and remember it is not what you put under the Christmas tree but, it what you are able to give to others that are already inside of you.
