Am I running ahead of time
In my desire to celebrate this great day?
What is this feeling inside me which I cannot fathom ?
This strong emotion that I cannot put a name to?

Is it a celebration to mark a significant day
Or a far deeper reason to celebrate?
Is it a remembrance of the sentiments of the yesteryear
Or a forever feeling of joy and hope?

Given the beautiful reason, the wonderful cause
There is no time to stop and pause.
But, to surge ahead in the enjoyment
In the Grand Finale today.

A day long awaited.
A day set apart from the rest.
A day which will stand proud and tall
To be seen and remembered by all.
