On the first day the Lord created the earth, day and night
On the second the sky and sea.
On the third day He created the land and vegetation
On the fourth the sun, moon, stars and planetary realms.

On the fifth day God created the birds and fishes
On the sixth the fauna of the earth.
And finally He completed the greatest work of His creation
His masterpiece-Man.
In His own image and likeness, He made him.

He breathed on him the breath of life
Poured His own spirit into him.
Gave him the power to think and feel
The freedom to choose and lord over the others
An intellect, will and wisdom.

Man was God’s trump card
An Icon amongst all His creation.
He had a plan for him right from the beginning
He was fashioned to love in the footsteps of the Trinity.

Man was wonderfully made
The apple of God’s eye.
A soft corner reserved in His magnanimous heart
A love unimaginable offered on a silver platter.
A decree that man should triumph forever
He gave His masterpiece the biggest gift of all – Eternal Life.
