Cultivating growth

Cultivating growth is problem orientated, filtered through biblical principals. The word of God is to your spirit as your liver is to your flesh. It filters out all the toxins of the world. “For your mind is like your mouth and your heart is like your stomach” what ever you put into your mind gets digested by your heart and then purples your spirit.

This filtration is like our digestive track. Biblical principals are like the acids of our stomach, taking the life giving nurturance of our surroundings and turning it into usable energy, saturating our heart with change in the form of conviction or service. Complacency is not a word of the spirit. Your either moving forward or backwards and the reading of the word brings forth conviction which leads to service which in turn leads to change in someone else’s life and growth in yours. Continued growth is achieved by the repetition of Gods promises being manifested through good spirit habits. In a nutshell this means following Gods instructions for healthy living.

Just like with a healthy diet, you should watch what you consume. You can’t always eat healthy, there’s always some additives or something in our diet. In the same way, as hard as you try, sometimes you’ll be in uncomfortable situations as a disciple of Christ. Gods word says that we are in the world but not of the world, therefore we should walk as one not from this world, taking the situation for what it is and applying Christ principals. In turn turning the situation into a growth opportunity and allowing Gods word to do its job as the liver of the spirit using what it needs for creating change through service or conviction and discarding the rest as waist.

Paul says counted all joy when trials come your way, for the testing of your spirit produces perseverance, which builds character. What character are we unveiling? The character of our father. Dig into the truth of what Christ did for us on that cross and how much the father loved us to allow reconciliation between him and man to come through the death of his son, (the living word). Feed your spirit with this truth of the heart and continue cultivating growth.
