Made in the Image of God; let us speak God’s Words

Ecclesiastes 10:20, “Curse not the king, no not in your thought; and curse not the rich in your bedroom: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which has wings shall tell the matter.”

Matthew 12:36, “But I, (Jesus), say to you that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment, for by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned.”

You don’t see them
but they come
when summoned
to hear your words
and then they act
on what they’ve heard.

Good and Bad alike,
those who love and
those who fight,
those who heal, and
those who steal,
will attend your words
but don’t reveal to you
that they’ve arrived.

Perhaps they think you
realize that when you
speak, your words
give license for them
to arrive and to bring about
the things you have advised.

So, Wisdom says to
“Listen to you words”
that help to make your
path secure, making certain
that your words are
always positive and pure.

Made in God’s Image
there is power in what we
say, and we’ll be held
accountable to our God
for our spoken words on the
coming Judgment Day.

In ways that we don’t readily understand our words reach into other dimensions and produce a crop of the word seeds sown.

Let us be so careful what we say over our children.
