The mercies of God

You wake up in the morning and as soon as your feet hit the floor something over takes
You and you just know it isn’t going to be a good day. The weather is less than desirable and your
Children are not cooperating in the manner you would like. You can only wish your heavenly Father
Is watching and willing to intervene. “Where are you, God”? You find yourself asking and yet
There is silence. Where do you go when he chooses to be silent? You go nowhere, you stand in
His presence and be still.
We often panic as God’s children when we discover that he is silent. We then find ourselves
Questioning Why? But we already know the answer before we ask.” It is of the Lord’s mercies
We are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is
Thy faithfulness”, Lamentations 3: 22 & 23.
We already know his mercies are an attribute of his loving nature- for God is love. We need
only to ask in a day that he can be found. The Father is anxious to hear and answer our
Prayers, we just have to be willing to ask and then listen to his still small voice. So the next
Time-- and there will be a time-- when you are having a not so desirable day look to the One
Who is full of compassion and tender mercies. For his mercies are new every morning.
