If I Could Show You

If I could show you this Gospel I see
I would hold it gently for you to admire
I would let its fragrance caress your soul
Its mystery surround your heart
And its eternity embrace your consciousness
I would take you to others who first showed me
I would let you see the unwavering love they passed my way
The gentle breeze they did create
I would talk for awhile about a great divide
a bridge across it
And a great banquet awaiting a bride
I would walk with you upon solid earth
while taking you to places no footing exist
This walk would be my honor
for I can think of no greater one to take
If I could show you this Gospel I see
nothing would mean more to me
It is really an amazing gift
So undeserving of a hand that's folded.
My prayer is oh so simple to me
May the Master Himself intervene
It is no easy attempt to show you
This Gospel I see
