All of his creation
saved from the floodwaters
on the waters,
above the storm
lifted up, floating above the deep
atop the raging seas

God, in the ark
preserving his creation
even as he washed it clean
the capsule upon the waters
the basket upon the seas

Hope in that savings of God
in the rainbow and covenant too
never to wash the earth clean by flood
to destroy the whole world
given a sign to remember himself;
forgiven instead by his love
