Our Lord Answers Prayer



I met a wonderful Christian widow, a young 74 years old, on TipTopWebsite.com/LensLines. where she reads this column. It is one of seven worldwide outlets that the Lord has made available to spread the Good Word to Christians and others with the purpose to motivate readers to attend the church of their choice. We have a most loving and gracious Lord as you will see in the following true story about what God can do if we put our faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savour.

We read in the Bible where prayers of faith are important to all Christians that are sick and need healing. -- James 6:15, " Confess your faults to one another, and prayer for one another that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much"




We are on clear across the country from each other but have become good friends. I call her my Fantasy Girl as I have never seen her and may never. Five days ago she played the piano beautifully over the phone and then we prayed together before saying good night.

The next day she called from the hospital in Dallas, Texas and said at the women's church tea she got real dizzy and an ambulance was called, Her blood pressure was 60 over 40 and then extremely high a few minutes later when she got to hospital. Even on the second day the blood pressure was being checked ever 2 hours as it could not be stabilized.
On the second night I talked with her at the hospital and we prayed together that the Lord would put his hand on her and if it was his will, help her. After the prayer, I told her the Lord says, "To be ready to tell the doctors what had just happened, as they will not believe. "

Two hours later the blood pressure was taken and was perfect. 120 over 75. Now, three days later, it is in the same range and has stabilized since the prayer. A cat scan was normal and the lady has recovered her singing voice. She sang Happy Birthday to her granddaughter in a voice she says was like she was in her 60's. She is still a little weak and has had visitors each day from 7AM to 10PM. Her family from the west coast was flying back to see her as friends and family have brought Christian cheer to this kind lady.

Her three sons are in the ministry and all visited today and are praising the Lord for an answer to prayer. I told her it is not what we did but the Lord having a most gracious love for her and he still has plans for her to help spread the Good Word here on earth. A nurse told her that doctors all over the hospital are talking about the results of prayer.

It is wonderful knowing even Christians praying together over the telephone can reach our loving and gracious Lord Jesus Christ when we are in a time of need. We know our Lord still performs miracles of healing if it is the Lord's will. That is why it is important to have Prayer Services at church to pray for our church family and others in need of Physical Blessings, Material Blessings and Spiritual Blessings.

I trust this coming Sunday morning will find all of us singing and praising our Lord in the church of our choice. God Bless America
