Have you ever had the sense that something is just not right with your life? You may not be able to place exactly where the problem lies, yet your life just does not seem to be the way it is supposed to be. Though you would be hard pressed to say what your life is supposed to be like, what you are experiencing right now is not it. Perhaps in the past you've shrugged your shoulders and accepted that though things may not be perfect, that's just the way life is. You face life with a stubborn resolve to make the best of situation in which you have been placed and try to be thankful for the good things in your life. Inside, though, there's a deep-rooted unhappiness that hangs over your soul like a storm cloud that weeps inner tears you may not know are always there.

For those who have not come to faith to in Jesus Christ, at least the major source of that unhappiness lies there. Those who do not know Him, then, and have not come to faith in his life, death, and resurrection, should first seek their answer in Him.

Christians, though, often face the same conundrum. My wife and I have faced it for some time. You see, part of the Christian faith lies in believing that God has a specific plan set for us. He made us for a specific purpose. Not all Christians believe this, yet I do think it's part of the Christian faith and finds its basis in the Bible. I think the problem for my wife and has been that we have not been fulfilling the purpose for which God made us. The stress that results from not fulfilling that purpose has left us physically and mentally exhausted. It has taken its toll on our bodies, minds, and souls. We have attempted to do the best and live the best we could in the situation we found ourselves, but our hearts ached for something else.

It seems that recently God has responded to that ache in our hearts and has shown us the way toward relieving that emptiness. Though we do not yet have the complete picture of what God intends for us, he has shown us the next step in our path toward the life he desires for us. When we take that step, we shall be on our way toward fulfilling the purpose for which God made us. Our first step toward obedience already had a transforming effect on our bodies, minds, and general wellness. Living as God intends us to live will often do that.
