The Heavenly Father speaks the Word,
The Son agrees. That's two.
Where two or more agree
It shall be done, but what say you?

In those that are agreeable
The Son will make His home.
He'll also bring the Father,
Who is seated on His throne.

The two of them do testify
As borne out by the Spirit,
Whom Christ the Son pours out as one
On all who long to hear it.

The Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Together do make three.
Third day's the resurrection,
Power of God's grace for free.

Quite capable are they of pouring
Out this grace alone,
And yet they choose to wait for us
To bold approach the throne.

If they agree, then why can't we
Just take Him at His Word?
He said it's done, three speak as one,
Let's seize the Word we've heard.

We have no reason to ignore,
Nor yet to haw and hem.
So let's stop trying to compete,
As if it's "us" v "them."

We must resist the lies of him
Who calls God's truth absurd.
He said it's done, three speak as one,
