Recently I travelled to a State in my country and I had to lodge in a hotel, on reaching the hotel I asked for a single room and immediately I was taken to a room on the ground floor. The room looked very attractive considering the fact that it is just by the door, I mean I can easily work in and out of my room without the rigour of using the stairs. Of course, having in mind the fact that should anything happens I (on the ground floor) will be the first to exit the building. I almost took the room but the spirit in me asked “have you considered other options?” , quickly, I asked the attendant to show me another room and he took me to a room on the first floor which was way better than the first and, shockingly, of the same price.

As a former salesman I will tell you not to buy the first product a salesman offers you, ask for an alternative or another because a salesman will always give you a product from which he will get more commission or a product he is finding difficult to sell first and will persuade you to buy.

“Beware of a product a salesman lays more emphasis on”. The devil is a very good salesman.

Failure has a very attractive packaging than success. I remember sometimes ago my former employer decided to buy us (three employees) blackberry phones. He sent them from USA and the Supervisor called the three of us to pick. Two of the phones were actually very modern and attractive but the third looked awkward and outdated, the other two marketers rushed and picked the good looking ones leaving the “ugly” one for me to pick. After some minutes of protest by me the supervisor agreed to cast some sort of lot to determine who picks which. Unfortunately, after the lot I still picked the “ugly” one disgruntled because I had no other option. Unknowingly the phone I chose was the only working phone out of the three so they became very envious of me.

The earthquake was more likely to announce God’s arrival but Elijah had to wait for, unbelievably, a still small voice which came the third time (1King 19:11-13). Sometimes the answers are not in the first package please don’t rush it just wait for the second or even the third for God’s own answers. It’s not delayed you just have not found it yet so tarry a little longer. Your own is green not this yellow one. Once you pick the yellow you may never get the green.

Satan may show you yellow in a well packaged manner but your on is actually green so wait for it. Atimes God’s way might look ordinary but when you walk in it oh! the joy it brings. Please don’t rush into the devil’s gift, wait for the green.

As the saying goes “it’s not all that glitters that is gold”
