I pray this little bone, no longer be a rib,
No longer being picked on should she be.
She was the first one to ever rock a crib,
The first mother in our world’s history.

Eve, I’m sure was pretty, and also very sweet,
She did not know she faced impending doom.
She was deceived and swept right off her feet,
To soon be faced with death, and terrible gloom.

She was tempted by the one so very shrewd,
He said like gods, you’ll be if you’ll just eat.
Well God is very wise she must conclude,
Now indeed the fruit looked good and very sweet.

This little rib, knew not what was at stake,
However, Adam stood right there by her side.
He knew….yet still he did partake.
If not deceived, then he should not have complied.

Now Eve was just a natural woman,
She had no way to know or understand.
So the only way that she had of learning,
Was from things that she had right there at hand.

There’s something that to me I find of interest,
That Adam chose the name of Eve, for his wife.
When not as yet, with a baby being blest,
The word say’s Eve was the mother of all life.

Then in terrible pain she bore her children,
Bearing such grief and great despair.
The youngest was slain by the first begotten,
And he acted like he didn’t even care.

Now the ends of the earth are almost touching,
And if we should trace our family tree,
We’ll find indeed it is very far-reaching,
Reaching back far, to the Adams family.

Honor now we give to our first mother,
And sorrow for all that she’s been through.
As we give to her a drink of living water,
Saying mom, now Christ’s Fountain flows for you.

(Genesis 3:4—And the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. (5) “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like gods, knowing good and evil.” (6) So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, --a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.)

(1Tim. 2:13—For Adam was formed first, then Eve. (14) And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. (15) Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.)

(Genesis 3:20—And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.)

(1 Corin. 15:45—And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. (48) However, the spiritual is not first,
But the natural, and afterward the spiritual. (47) The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.

(1 Corin.2:14—But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.-- (16) But we have the mind of Christ.)

(Isaiah 12:3—Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.)

(Colossians 1:19—For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, (20) and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.)
