Lord my light from You is dim
and I feel a turmoil stirring within.
Don't know what it's all about
pray You come to help me out.
Somedays the grind gets harder to grin,
I feel like I'm falling far behind.
I push forth to be shoved back,
everyday I'm thrown off track.

I need Your light in my soul
to freshen me, to make me whole.
I know Your light will not burn out,
I'm not suffering any doubts.
I need Your arms to embrace me
to give me the energy I need.
I want to finish this travelled road
but Lord I need Your help with my load.
