I heard a story of a man
That could hold each and every star in His hand.
Man on the road keeps telling me
That God's grace and compassion made him free.
Read a little about this Man
And it said that He is the Son of God.
What in this world would this Savior
Ever have to do with me?
My life is lost; sin is where I'm from.

Then a miraculous wind
Took the pages, and turned them,
There I found that everyone has sinned. (Rm 3:10, Rm 3:23)
Still doubt was in my heart
Of this common carpenter who loved me.
Then the pages turned to show God's love,
That claimed while still a sinner, He died. (Rm 5:8, Rm 6:23)
I slowly understood the pain,
Both God and the Son paid.
I closed the book; it seemed to be speaking of me.

As I laid it down, it dropped and fell open
To a verse that told me that if I confess and believe (Rm 10:9)
That Christ died and rose, I'll be saved.

I thumbed through the chapters and books,
Saw many topics, like one speaking of branches on trees,
As it started to rain, so I went to seek shelter
Under a big oak tree, that was spread full.
Reading on, the oaks branches were falling
From the mighty wind that broke them. (Rm 11:11-24)
Found out that I should be scared,
Not full of pride when everyone's is the same.

I started to cry because it all became too real.
Jesus on the cross and me rejecting Him.
Forgive me Jesus for everything that I have done.
I give my life, please save me, please save me today. (Rm 10:13)
I give my life, to help you, O Lord, I'm a sacrifice.
Then the winds stopped, the rain was quenched in moments,
And then I saw the gentle hand leading me to this moment
As the Creator continues to write his second book (Rm 1:19-20)
By nature’s call.
