A bird sits nearby, a song so simple sweet
The bumble bee is looking for a flower,
and the rabbit for a clover treat.
and even though they're little, I still like them so
The limbs of trees, they sway ever so slightly
In the late summer's cool breeze.
This is a peaceful day.

A boat floats on the water, just before the dawn
The fish below the water, wakes up with the sun
A butterfly spreads its wings and sails across the lake.
The fisherman sits so still, his eyes rigid, body relaxed
With the shore line on horizon,
a cloudless day ahead
He thanks God for everything
For it was a peaceful day.

The forest is so calm, after the rain just falls
The fall leaves color the dying grass
Deer carefully come to the clearing
turkey gobble by them, in search of a snack
the world that God created, simple may it seem
Is full of wonderous things
From tiny ant to the sky and stars above
God made it all
The Peaceful day.
