Faith

I’ve noticed something,
About my life.
Through all the pain,
And all the strife.

I’m better at recovering,
From the awful shape I’m in.
Where once I’d crash into the pit,
I lift myself right out of it.

You might say this is odd,
don't you have help from your God.
That is true I won’t deny,
He’s cleared the tears from my eye.

But He’s given me the strength,
To fight the pain, break down the fence.
He made me strong, He lifts me up,
Lets me drink from His golden cup.

Then He leaves it up to me,
To fight off my misery.
He has shown me a way,
Just to make it through today.

But I will lean on Him,
When my joy starts to dim.
He is here to see me through,
And He will do the same for you.
