A rehearsal of Heaven is right here,
Right now on this very planet.
The divine feeling, the ethereal joy
The ecstatic hope, the mystical promise.

When we see the Face of God
In our brethren amongst us
In every friend and neighbor
We have found Heaven.

When we lend a helping hand
To someone in utmost need.
Share a smile with the lonely
Spread love in the world around
We have reached Heaven.

When God grants an unexpected blessing
For something which we have not even asked for.
A downpour of graces from above
We have truly experienced Heaven.

When every moment given to us
Is carefully packaged with utmost love and care
By the Divine Creator in days, months and years
We have lived Heaven on earth.

When we reverently adore
The one who took the fall for us.
Worship Him with our heart, mind and soul
And look forward to the grand show one day
With our Lord in the glorious realm
We have indeed been given a foretaste of Heaven.
