Props: Podium
Adding Machine w/receipt tape

Scene: Heaven. Peter is processing people who have sinned. He is deciding wether or not to grant them enterance into heaven. Jesus is also watching. The first person approaches.

Peter: Let's see. I don't think you can possibly be let in because you cheated on your income taxes. What do you have to say for yourself?

Person: I have accepted Christ as my savior, and asked God to forgive my sin. I promised I would repent.

Peter: I'm still not sure, what do you think Jesus?

(Jesus looks at the adding machine that Peter is using to add up the number of sins people have comitted and hits the "clear" button and rips off the receipt tape. He has been forgiven, his sin
erased).

Peter: Ok Lord. I will let him pass. There has to be someone someone here we cannot let pass. (Looks down his list) Here is a thief who stole from his friends and family, surely we cannot let "him" in can we Lord?

(Jesus looks at the man standing before him, and back at Peter. Jesus looks back at Peter and takes the adding machine and hits the clear button once again clearing the man of his sin).

Peter: I don't understand Lord, how many times must we forgive sin?

Jesus: It is as I have said 70x7.

Peter: So all we have to do is find someone who has sinned 491 times. That shouldn't be too hard. (Notices woman in line) This woman has cheated on her husband numerous times, honestly Lord I don't think she can be admitted. (Jesus once again repeats the act of forgiveness as she proclaims him her Savior and vows to repent).

Peter: This man has denied you Lord. He cannot be allowed to enter Heaven. (Points to third man He is about to dismiss him, when Jesus interrupts)

Jesus: Wait.

Peter: What?

Jesus (To Man): How badly do you want to enter my father's kingdom?

Man: Very badly Lord. I never realized how important it was for me to proclaim you as my Savior. I am ready to do that last part now.

(Jesus waits for man to finish to hit the clear button and pulls out the tape).

The Narrator: (Turning to Audience) There are very important truths that Christians live by. The need to forgive, the need to repent, but most importantly the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Savior. The only way to gain entrance into Heaven is to accept Salvation, which should you choose to accept it is given freely. For as Jesus states in John 14:6-"I am the way, the truth, and the life."
