Words make a writer. The strong potential of words can never be underestimated as it conveys a thousand expressions. Words make a writer come alive. It is the writer’s very thought and emotions down on paper. An integral part of the writer’s mind, heart and soul lives on in those words. These words may relate to life, love, nature, beauty e.t.c. It is the privilege of a writer to use the power of words, to imply different meanings and get away with it. The aim of every writer is to inspire the reader’s mind leaving behind a feeling of hope and joy.

Writers always have to thank divine intervention for molding their thoughts. The hands of a writer are most fascinating because the words stored within travel through the writer’s mind to his hands and out to the whole world. Hands are meant to reach out and clasp the other in its grip, which is exactly what a writer achieves in capturing the hearts of many. In this wonderful exchange of words, the writer is always warmed by the love and appreciation received in return because all due credit goes to the Master Provider of words from above.

A writer visualizes a concept which realizes into an article or poem which intrigues the readers, who search for hidden meanings which are applicable to their own life situations. Writers normally pen down their own feelings and experiences on paper and sometimes even the part which never happened but what they had hoped for, some unfulfilled dream or desire. A lingering hope which can be expressed only through words. Unless the writer has cried first at his own words, the world is never going to be moved.

Every writer is unique and has his own inimitable style. No one writer should ever hope to write like the other because in order to do so, they would first have to go through the emotions of that writer which brought out these words in the first place, perhaps some joy or pain. Writers have their own store house of thoughts and feelings, their individual vision and foresight.
All writers have the same great wish which is that their words should never go with them. It should be kept alive long after they have gone; in the hearts of those who cherished their words when on this earth.

History has given us numerous legendary writers and poets who have left behind priceless masterpieces in this world. They made their mark leaving behind a rich legacy of words, never to be forgotten. A precious gift, and a way of leaving one’s perpetual presence in the world. Their words continue to live on.
To quote from my favorite poet William Wordsworth’s ‘Splendor in the Grass’- “That though the radiance which was once so bright be now forever be taken from my sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower. We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind.”

Last but not the least, what can be said about spiritual writers? God’s own chosen people in the vineyard of His words.
John said in 1:1; “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” Spiritual writers have a greater responsibility in imparting and spreading the Word of God to reach out to the hearts of the lonely and discouraged, to give hope and radiate a light which will lead all to the greatest writer on Heaven and Earth – Our Lord Jesus Christ; the One who writes our own life story not just on this earth but in Heaven as well.

Today, let us salute in a special way the writers who wrote the Bible – the very Word of God; inspired by the Holy Spirit. In fact, God himself is the Author of His Word. We also pay our tribute to all writers and poets across the globe and earnestly urge all budding poets & writers as well as the established ones to never put the pen down and always keep on writing. Once we are signed in to the Word and love of God, we can never sign out.
