HUMILITY.
*DEFINITION: Humility is defined as being modest,lacking pretence,not believing that you are superior to others.
It is freedom from pride and arrogance.
It is the honest awareness of our weakness and disposition to ascribe to God and others the credit for what one has accomplished.

*TEXTS: 1 Peter 5: 5-6,Philippians 2:3-11, Matthew 5:3, James 3:13,Proverbs 15:33.

*CHARACTER STUDY:
Jesus Christ.
He is our perfect example. He was in every nature God but made himself nothing for our sake. He humbled himself and was obedient unto death.
*GOD'S EXPECTATIONS.:
God wants us to serve Him with all humility of mind. Acts 20:19.
He also wants us show true humility towards all men. Titus 3:2.
*COST:
Denial of self.
Openness to God's guidiance.
Obedience to God's word.
Sincerity and honesty.
*ADVANTAGES:
Upliftment.
Improves relationship at all levels.
Encourages openness.
Enhances self confidence.
Reduces anxiety.
Grace,favour and blessings.
*HINDRANCES:
Pride.
Superior intelligence.
Wealth.
High position.
Praise of others.
Pride of life.
Exaggerated feeling of self importance.
*RESPONSE IN PRAYER:
Purge me dear Lord of every iota of pride in me and clothe me with humility in Jesus name.
