Husband, father, son and brother, a heart of gold like his father and mother.
Man of devotion and faith to the cause, always, a knee is bending, and taking a pause.

Trusting again in the Word for his life, thanking his Father for his children and wife.
For health, and wealth, and good things above, for challenges too, and delivering love.

A life so full and rich and sweet, has been blessed from his head, to the soles of his feet.
Giving thanks in abundance is as natural as breathing, doing the same in his lack, is when it's ever so pleasing.

His eyes they twinkle and sparkle and shine, as his children come near to spend some more time.
Playing a game or reading a book, riding a bike or exchanging a look.

They gather around as bedtime draws near, another Bible story to place in their ear.
Baths are done and toys back on the shelf. Daddy prays for his children and his wife and himself.

Deposits being made for their future and more, Nothing's more important than kneeling on the floor.
Their watchful eyes are seeing his part, as he sends up his prayers and shows them his heart.

Giving his time, his love and all he possesses, is worth everything for his children's sweet kisses.
Teaching them faithfully between the wrong and the right, and protecting them when monsters come out at late at night.

His love and his peace sets the tone of our home, as he gives dreams to his children as they go out on their own.
Changing the world as they go on their way, following dad's footsteps day after day.

Walk slowly now daddy so we can still see, how we're to act and what to believe. Don't get to far ahead as we travel through life, we counting on you for guidance and light.

Thank you now daddy for being so true, and always knowing just what we should do.
I'm grateful for daddy for for pointing us straight, for showing us God and making us great!

Your love for mommy by holding her hand, assures us you'll always come home once again.
Providing and praying and seeking His face, we're grateful to God for our our daddy' face.
