THE PATHWAY TO REVELATION 3
“Whoever would come near to God must (necessarily) believe that God exists and He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him (out).”, (Hebrews 11:6). According to the preceding Scripture, God only responds to those who diligently pursue Him. I looked up the word “Diligence” in the Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary. One of my findings was the phrase “persevering application.” Diligence implies consistence and perseverance. Everything we need from God will not always come as soon as we need it. That includes revelation.
Faith holds on even when the answer to our prayer appears far from sight. There will be times we will open the Bible and instantly know what we are supposed to do. There will also be times we will pray in faith for direction and Heaven will seem silent for days. We need to be tenacious and patient in such seasons. God only commits His resources to those who are hungry for Heaven’s treasures. Perseverance is an evidence of hunger. Jacob was so hungry for God’s blessing that he wrestled all night with His angel in Genesis 32:24-30. Jacob never let the angel go until he received his blessing.
I would be lying if I said you would receive every significant revelation on the course of destiny on a platter of gold. Never mistake God’s apparent silence for denial. Our Heavenly Father is always able and willing to guide us. However, we have to thirst for His leading. This is because everything in the Kingdom of God responds to desire demonstrated by pursuit.
When it seems the Lord is taking too long to respond to your cry, never give up. Hold on. Direction is on the way.
