It has been a most interesting spring of 2011 on the issue of homosexuality.

Less than 48 hours after former NY Giants wide receiver David Tyree’s comments against gay marriage and homosexuality ‘lit up’ the viral universe, the Associated Press reported that the United Nations--for the first time in its history--fielded a resolution firmly supporting the gay agenda. This coming through its Human Rights Council during a June, 2011 meeting in Geneva. According to the AP, supporters included the U.S., the European Union, Brazil and other Latin American countries.

Many in the mainstream media laughed over Tyree’s comments which came our four square against the gay agenda. Tyree noted that the homosexual agenda--which includes men marrying men and women marrying women AND adopting children--would lead to anarchy. His opponents are amazed as to how prophetic his comments were.

By the way, many African nations who were represented on the council voted against the measure, citing that such support of the gay agenda by the U.N. would not win much support in the motherland. Others on the Human Rights Council who didn’t support the resolution were Russia, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Pakistan.

This resolution--if I might add--is not going to go over well with the American majority, once the news gets out. It will likely renew calls for the U.N. to move its headquarters out of the USA and over to Geneva. It will also make firm up the battle lines on the gay agenda in general and homosexuality in particular.

Hang on…because it’s about to get hotter than July!

TAKING THE HEAT:

In case you doubt my stand on the matter, let me make it clear. Homosexuality and lesbianism are wrong; they are an example of arrogance against God’s Word and God’s church, and I can not support them--in any way, shape, or form. My stand is not a ‘stunt’. I won’t recant, and I won’t change my mind. God calls homosexuality a sin, and I agree with God. Let the catcalls begin.

One of Tyree’s comments, in his interview with the National Organization for Marriage also needs repeating: “I don’t believe that the truth is subjective.” The problem these days is that men and women, boys and girls are spending far too much time trying to call ‘right’ wrong, and ‘wrong’ right, becoming fuzzy in their thinking on moral absolutes.

GAY AGENDA GETTING MORE EXPOSURE:

This is not the first rodeo involving the gay agenda and OUR struggle.

For those of us who remember our history, shortly after the Civil Rights movement made the progress of African Americans a reality in the USA, other groups attempted to ‘latch on’ to our success in winning freedoms that were LONG due our people. Chief among these groups were the feminist, the environmental, and homosexual lobbies. These three groups--primarily liberal and unashamedly of the majority culture--copied the movement’s tactics and corrupted the message so quickly and completely that many in our country--to this day--believe that all four are linked together.

Balderdash!

Make no mistake. The gay agenda IS an agenda; a systematic means of less than one percent of the U.S. population (which is quite wealthy) trying to drive the morality of society by impact, influence and intimidation. (Interestingly enough, these are the same tactics that are used by members of many Modern Street Gangs across our country. Unfortunately--for those in the gay agenda ranks--MANY gang members are ‘anti-gay’ and are ‘pro-family’…but I digress.)

Think that you won’t have to face this firestorm? I cite a prominent gay columnist: Daniel Villarreal, in his observations on the indoctrination factor. His recent comments were quoted by LifeSiteNews.com: “I and a lot of other people,” Villarreal said, “want to indoctrinate, recruit, teach, and expose children to queer sexuality AND THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.”

TYREE NOT ALONE IN THE FIRESTORM:

About a decade or so ago, famed Green Bay Packer Reggie White took a stand against homosexuality, both in print and on television. White, who was also a Christian and a minister, made it clear that homosexuals and lesbians are bound by their sin…and could find release through Jesus Christ IF they wanted to find such release. White was also sincere in his comments, faced public heat over them, and lost a lot for his stand.

He may be gone now; nevertheless, he STOOD his ground back THEN!

Others are also standing, though we might not see their contributions. Again, according to the AP, of those from the motherland who stood against the resolution, Nigeria was in the LEAD. Such a resolution was against the wishes of most Africans.

Furthermore, a diplomat from Mauritania, out of northwest Africa, called the resolution: "…an attempt to replace the natural rights of a human being with an unnatural right…".

Now that the gay rights agenda is on a worldwide stage thanks to the U.N., compromise is not an option. A firestorm is coming to those who stand firm for God’s truth. Maybe, THIS is the wakeup call that many compromisers needed to effectively take a stand for right, or eventually perish with the wrong.

Let me wrap up this month’s commentary with a bold reminder from Sir Winston Churchill. As you may recall, Churchill was popular during the times that uncertainty gripped the British Empire during World War II, but was rejected when the Empire was at peace, full, fat and happy. In the words of Sir Winston: “Never compromise; Never, Never, NEVER compromise!”

I do believe I see a firestorm on the horizon.

Hi Mr. Ramey. Thank you for your critique of my humor article (which was done purely for fun without any particular message, something I rarely do). I like the way you write and think, and how you refuse to compromise on God’s word of absolute truth and high standards. I too want to never compromise on anything with the Bible. No suggestions or criticism right now. You have an impressive resume. God bless and keep fighting for righteousness!
