No Friend in Hell
By Rev. Dean Beaty 5/21/11
Luke 16:19-26 “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments,
and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried
and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that
he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am
tormented in this flame.” (23-24) (KJV)

There are no friends in hell, just read the rich man’s sum.
For he begged Abraham to warn them not to come.
Not a drop of water to place upon his lip.
So the Savior warned us not to make this trip.

There’ll be no end of torment, no time to rest awhile.
No end of Satan’s fury or of his bitter guile.
There will be no sailing upon the lake of fire.
I’m telling you my friend; God’s warning is most dire.

Christ told us of the rich man who died and went to hell.
If we refuse the Savior we’ll join him there as well.
If there’s no lake of fire, no eternal flames to shun,
Then Jesus was a liar and not God’s only Son.

The friends who love you most will warn you of this place,
Where torments are eternal and you’ll never see Christ’s face.
But there is free forgiveness for Jesus paid the price.
So we could be redeemed and not have to die twice.

Revelation 21:7-8 “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will
be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and
the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and
idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with
fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (KJV)
