The moment we ate that fruit, the one God had forbidden us, we became our own destroyers. God knows good, bad and the effects of each on us. We know good and bad only, we know not what destroys us. At the time of transgression, we opened our eyes to know good and bad; this knowledge then makes it hard for us to want what God wants. That's why many people today are so far away from God; they have followed their own hearts and have bid at logger heads with the desires of God.

_9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fat-lings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse , that they destroyed utterly_

Now Christ came to connect us back to God's heart. All of us can now be like King David, a man inclined towards God's heart. In the verse above, King Saul saw what was good in keeping the good looking sheep; however he did not know what good it was to him. Only God knew and so he commanded him to smite everything. unfortunately, he went after his own mind and smote only that which looked bad and spared the good.

God requires obedience, so does Christ. He says that whosoever loves him (Christ) obeys him and does all that he commanded. That's him who does all God's will. Let not what you know destroy you by leading you to disobedience. Its better to not know and trust God, obey him and do his will than know everything and battle to go after God's will. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen
