You’ve got the democrats and republicans
Side doesn’t matter they’re both corrupted
Each has a little good, but a lot of bad
Both hungry for power, leavin a nation sad

Troops sufferin visions we can’t comprehend
Gettin sent over to almost certain deaths
But we’ve got people here that have said
It is going to be over soon or show blatant disrespect

Fightin for our freedom at a cost so great
We take for granted the lives we’ve made
If it wasn’t for sacrifice there’d be no fate
The fate to grow and escalate beyond hate

The rapid growth rate we see in technology
Is one of those uncertain mixed blessings
Has it made us better as a whole
Or rather made us spin even more out of control

Considerin discrimination is now big again
It’s harder for them to defend the statistics of sin

Call me old fashion, but what’s happened
Chivalry bein dead, no more compassion
Torture and interrogation come first hand
Whether it’s a little scuffle or the grand plan

Struggle within communities fightin violence
Drug traffic thicker than rush hour city limits
Where’s the interstate to escape this dead end highway
Are you even lookin or remainin blinded

Stuck in a situation competin over class
Do we even need to continue to ask
I think it’s clear that there’s a task
Hidin away the truth behind a clever mask

A war on drugs and prostitution with no success
Yet we feel we can alleviate another nation’s mess
What happened to tryin to fix our own problems
Before we take the role of bein supreme mediation

Our government can’t even agree on a budget
Yet these are the people we want to be entrusted

Havin younger aged persons fight for freedoms
That you want to stomp on as you leave em
Sittin out there in the tragedy of artillery
It all doesn’t make much sense to me

Criticizin the troops that just do what their told
When it’s the people higher up sittin at home
Makin the decisions to send em through that door
If they had a choice I’m sure they’d avoid war

Doesn’t mean that’s gonna stop terrorists
From tryin to disrupt our nation’s process
You can continue to voice your opinions
Feel free considerin that’s our country

Yet with a tongue that spews controversy

You think you have the answers
But you can’t even handle your own pressures
