As parents we hold many positions or are sometimes required to wear many hats. Esekiel 33:1-6 tells us about the most important position we hold. The position of town crier or Watchmen.

Ezekiel 33:1-6 states: "But if the watchmen sees the sword coming and does not warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone's life, that person's life will be taken because of their sin, but will hold the watchman accountable for their blood."

As parents we are sometimes required to wear the hat of watchmen to our children. Our duties are to warn them of right and wrong, and putting them on the right path.

Ezekiel warns us that this is a serious position and responsibility. If we fall behind in our duties we are responsible for the aftermath or consequences that may follow.
Prayer:

Lord, direct me in not only my duties as a parent, but also what you expect of me as a watchmen of my child(ren).

I pray this in Jesus name. A-men.
