SWEET ANOINTING

Sweet anointing, sweet anointing,
God’s power flowing strong,
Healing balm cascading, guided by his hand.
Stirring through the body, legs going weak,
Holy Spirit comforting, peace is at its peak.

Temple all a quiver wanting even more,
Resting in his arms, the body to restore,
Joy bubbling up, the saviour touched the soul,
God knows how much we need, so he is in control.

Surrender to him fully, that’s all he wants from us,
To fill us with his spirit, for he is kind and just.
No room for other God’s he’s jealous for our love,
Our only one true God waits for us above.

So pray without ceasing, you’ve been chosen for salvation,
Like a thief in the night he’ll lift us up from every nation.
Jesus Christ will be revealed, from heaven he will ride,
Angels riding with him, coming for his bride.
